Joe Urban:

On a personal note with Joe:

My wife and I had recently moved to Greenfield when over dinner, one night she placed a newspaper clipping in front of me.  With a hint of a smile, she pointed to an audition notice she had happened upon in the Greenfield paper the day before.  At first I dismissed the notion of getting back on stage as it had been over 17 years, but slowly... very slowly those old emotions crept back into me.  That wisp of audition uncertainty... wondering where I stood in the eyes of the director among the auditioning masses... the growing anticipation I felt before curtain and the incredible rush of being on stage as the lights come up... and God willing, the indescribable, overwhelming feeling of a full-blown standing ovation.

That night I found myself at the audition, and three weeks later on the stage... feelings like I haven't felt for years crashed down upon me with such power and force that I had to take a step back just to take it all in.

In the past few years I have been so very blessed.  I have had the opportunity to work with and meet such incredible people, and although you may not remember me, you can rest assure that all of you have changed my life.  I would love to take the time to mention them all by name, this is not the time.

So my wife asks... "Why do you feel so deeply compelled to invest all this time in Indiana Auditions?"

All I can do is smile... "If you have never been there... you can't truly understand."

Take care and GOOD POSTING.
